Yahara River Chorus competed at the Region 22 Competition and Convention held in Appleton, Wisconsin, April 7-10, 2011. We achieved our highest score ever (570) and we were the 3rd place chorus in the competition. We are very proud of this recognition, and plan to work even harder in the future (having fun all of the way).
That's the Sweet Adelines International motto and that description fits the Yahara River Chorus perfectly!
We are a group of women from varying backgrounds who share one passion: we love to sing. Our members come from Madison and many surrounding communities. We sing four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style. This includes both traditional barbershop repertoire and more contemporary music arranged in the barbershop style from many genres, such as gospel, swing, and be bop, and artists and composers such as Billy Joel, the Beatles, and Irving Berlin. We have a song for every occasion! We are proud members of Region 22
(http://www.region22.org/) of Sweet Adelines International

The Yahara River Chorus sings at both community service and private performances. If you are interested in having our chorus sing for you, please contact our Events Coordinator.
YRC rehearses every Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 701 S. Century Ave., Waunakee, WI 53597. Click here for a map.
Guests are welcome.
